May James is a Hong Kong–based documentary and editorial photographer, she explores community, migration and everyday life through quiet, human-centred images rooted in lived experience. She works as a freelance photojournalist with outlets such as European Pressphoto Agency, Associated Press and Zolima Hong Kong. Her visual stories have appeared in international publications, including Deutsche Welle and The Guardian, and her work has been recognised as a SOPA Awards finalist for Excellence in Photography. Alongside editorial assignments, she also works with corporate and private clients on events and portraits.
