Tisbie
Hi, this is Tisbie from Hong Kong. My journey in community service began in secondary school and has continued for decades, during which I received the Gold Award for volunteer service from the Social Welfare Department. What I value most are the genuine connections formed with the people I’ve served, which have shaped my values and strengthened my commitment to supporting others.
I first came across Birthday Happiness Asia after learning about one of its celebrations for children with physical or mental disabilities. The sincerity and warmth of the event left a lasting impression on me and reinforced how important it is for every child to feel valued on their special day. Through these birthday celebrations, I hope to deliver a simple message for each child: you are supported, cared for, and deserving of celebration, even when life is challenging.
I studied Public Health and Pharmacy at university with a lifelong goal of contributing to human wellbeing. Discovering this charity offered a meaningful extension of that path, allowing me to step beyond pharmaceuticals and hospital walls to directly serve people in need. Looking ahead, I hope to continue supporting the wellbeing of children, particularly those living with genetic disorders, cancers, disabilities, and other health conditions. It reaffirmed my belief that while medicine treats the disease, care and kindness can heal the soul.
